Terms of Service
Draft for review
These terms are the deal between you and [company name] ("we") for using Reddy at app.getreddy.dev, the reddy command-line tool and its plugins, and the Reddy browser helper. They're written to be read.
The agreement
By creating an account or using Reddy, you agree to these terms and to how we handle data in the Privacy Policy. If you use Reddy for a company, you confirm you're allowed to agree for it.
What Reddy is, and isn't
- Reddy connects your app to the services it needs, keeps the credentials safe, checks they keep working, and deploys when you approve. Reddy doesn't build your app and doesn't hold your code.
- Your app, your code and what your app does are yours, and so is the responsibility for them.
- Reddy works alongside AI coding assistants made by other companies. What they suggest or write is up to them and you; Reddy only acts on what you approve.
Your account
- Use your real email and keep your password, passkeys and the accounts you sign in with (Google or GitHub) safe.
- One account is for one person. You need to be at least 16.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what the AI tools and computers you connect to it ask Reddy to do. You can see and revoke each of them in Settings.
- Tell us at [contact email] straight away if you think someone else got into your account.
Your other services
- When you connect a service (Supabase, Resend, Stripe, Vercel, DigitalOcean and others), you allow Reddy to use the access you gave it to set things up, check them and make the changes you approve. That service's own terms still apply between you and it.
- Any costs from those services are between you and them. Reddy never pays for anything for you, only creates free Supabase projects, and points out when something you choose could cost money.
- Only connect accounts and servers that are yours, or that you're allowed to manage.
Approvals
- Reddy changes things in your services, sends production settings to your hosting, and deploys your app only after you approve, in Reddy, signed in. A "yes" typed into a chat with an AI is never an approval.
- Each approval shows exactly what will happen. Read it before you approve: some changes, like database migrations, can't always be undone. Reddy offers your last safety point when something goes wrong, but can't promise every change can be reversed.
- The browser helper fills in forms but leaves the final create, pay or accept button to you.
Using Reddy fairly
Please don't use Reddy to:
- break the law, or build or run something that harms people;
- reach systems or accounts that aren't yours or that you're not allowed to use;
- get around Reddy's security, approvals or limits, or overload it on purpose;
- copy, resell or offer Reddy as your own service without our written OK.
If you find a security problem, tell us at [contact email] and give us a fair chance to fix it before sharing it. We're grateful for it.
Your data
What you put into Reddy stays yours. You let us store and use it only to run Reddy for you, as the Privacy Policy describes. You can export a project and delete it at any time.
Price
Reddy is free while it's being built. If paid plans arrive, we'll say what they cost before anything is charged, and you'll choose whether to pay. Nothing is ever charged without your agreement.
Our software
Reddy, its name and logo belong to [company name]. While these terms apply, you may use Reddy, the command-line tool, its plugins and the browser helper for yourself and your work. Feedback you send us can be used to improve Reddy, with no obligation to you.
Changes and availability
Reddy is new and changing fast. We may add, change or stop features. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. For a change that takes something important away, we'll give you notice first where we can.
Ending
You can stop using Reddy at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we'll tell you why unless that would make things worse. After an account closes, its data is deleted as the Privacy Policy says. Your app keeps working without Reddy: its settings stay in your files and your providers.
Responsibility
- Reddy is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we don't give promises beyond what these terms say.
- As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the larger of what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem, or [amount].
- Nothing here takes away rights you have by law that can't be signed away, for example as a consumer.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of [country], and disputes go to the courts of [place], unless the law where you live says otherwise.
If these terms change, the new version will be here with its date. For an important change, we'll email you before it applies. If you keep using Reddy after that, the new terms apply.
